God’s Wonderful Plan for your Life

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord,

plans to prosper you and not to harm you,

plans to give you hope and a future.   Jeremiah 29:11

God has a plan for all of us.  We are His creation and He has designed us to praise and worship Him with our time, talents and financial resources.  How many of us have yielded ourselves to the plans that the Lord has for us?  It can be a scary endeavor when we think that God has entrusted us with so many gifts and has asked us to partner with him to fulfill Kingdom business on earth.

How many of us have made these statements:

“I have some things that the Lord has called me to do but…”

“There is a book that God has laid on my heart to write but…”

“The Lord gave me a dream of a ministry that He wants me to do but…”

“One morning, I saw in a dream, this building that had the name of the business that I have heard in my mind for several years but…”

“I really want to write for a grant to start this daycare center but…”

What has stopped us from completing those ideas, charges from God, and calls to do something greater?

Think about it and place your answer in the comment section of this blog.

In order to move forward with the desires and passions that God has given you, there needs to be a starting place.  Here are a few quick strategies to think about and begin moving towards accomplishing what God has planned for your life.

1.  Pray for clarity on what the Lord has called you to do and which way He would have you to move.

2.  Invest in yourself for the appropriate training and resources to fulfill your goals and plans.

a.   Explore working with a Life Coach who is trained and devoted to guiding you into increased competence, commitment and confidence.

b.  Hire a consultant to analyze your situation and provide expert guidance and advice.  This can be done if you have started working on the plan and you find yourself at a roadblock and need support to move to the next level.

c.  Contract with a professional if you have an idea but need someone to work on the logistics and technical components of your plan.  This would be writing your business plan, helping to format and edit your book manuscript, working on business documents such as grant proposals, memorandums, and agreements.

    d. Collaborate with like-minded people on your project, passion, or proposal.  There are many opportunities to team with others to accomplish what God has called you to do.  Write a book with an artist, two people join together to write a novel or nonfiction work, creating a partnership for ministry and/or business.
